Lord Of The Rings

The Lord of the Rings is one of the most recognisable and loved stories in modern history. Written by British Professor J. R. R. Tolkien and published in three volumes between 1954 and 1955, it is an epic tale of high fantasy. It has everything that a true fantasy tale needs – wizards and warriors, thieves and knights, a Dark Lord and an almost hopeless quest to stop him. The publishing of The Lord of the Rings was a watershed moment that forever changed the landscape of fantasy fiction – books written in this genre are often divided into two categories; those written before Lord of the Rings, and those after. Tolkien’s revolutionary trilogy resulted in generations of people being introduced to – and falling in love with – an extravagant reality beyond our own.

Since  we are big fans who also happen to make swords for a living it is only natural that we would use our skills to create weapons inspired by this epic work of fiction.

Several of our Lord of the Rings LOTR Swords are made to resemble those used in Peter Jackson’s film trilogy – many beautiful swords were designed for the films, and we are pleased to reproduce them as homage pieces here. Others are original designs based on swords in the trilogy that did not make it into the films, or on swords from his other works set in the land of Middle Earth, including The Hobbit and The Silmarillion (the “Old Testament” of The Lord of the Rings).
